Hey Reader, Every leader feels the tension between running faster and running faithfully. We push, plan, and perform, yet sometimes it still feels off. This week, I've been reflecting on Hebrews 12:1–2 and the idea of Faith-Driven Leadership, reminding us that our best leadership happens when we run the race God set before us, not the one culture, family, or ambition demands. What I’m Thinking“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down and let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
(Hebrews 12:1–2)
This verse came alive again for me while reading my friend Jerry Howard’s book, Faith Driven Leadership, which is also the theme of our upcoming workshop. Before White Stone Coaching was born, I actually called the early concept 1212 Coaching, based on this same scripture. That’s how deeply it shaped my understanding of leadership. And as I revisited it this week, three powerful truths stood out:
🎥 Watch my full reflection on Faith Driven Leadership to unpack these three questions and realign your focus for the week ahead. What I’m Reading📘 Faith Driven Leadership by Jerry Howard Jerry captures the heart of leading from a place of faith, not force. Even just a few pages in, it’s a strong reminder that leadership rooted in surrender is leadership that lasts.
🎥 Watch me share why this book resonated with me in the full video. What I’m Listening To🎧 “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” by Cody CarnesThis song has been grounding me lately. No matter how much changes around us, the foundation of our faith and the One who set our race remain unmovable. 🎥 I mentioned this worship song and how it connects to endurance in leadership in the full episode. What I’m Using🗒 A line from my planner that’s become a daily anchor:“Be excited about what God wants to produce out of me, not what I’m producing.” It’s been shifting my focus from performance to partnership, letting God set the pace. 🎥 Hear more about this mindset shift in the full video reflection. Take a quiet moment this week and ask:
Write your answers down, pray through them, and see what He reveals. When we lead from faith, we don’t have to force outcomes. When we trust the course God set for us, endurance replaces exhaustion and peace replaces pressure. Keep running your God-given race with focus and freedom. And if this message resonates, watch the full Faith Driven Leadership video and reflect on how you can lead from a place of clarity and calling.

Hey everyone, If your leadership disappeared tomorrow, would your team still stand strong. If leadership cannot be passed down, it is not biblical leadership. Today’s focus is the overlooked responsibility of building systems and leaders who can carry the weight when you step away. What I Am Thinking Leadership is stewardship. We are pillars that hold up and display the truth, not the truth itself. If everything in the business depends on you, you are not stewarding what God gave you. Build...
